Hi there! My name is Taylor Goldenstein. I'm currently a state politics reporter in the Austin bureau of the Houston Chronicle. I most recently spent two and a half years as a county reporter at the Austin American-Statesman, and before that, I was a general assignment reporter at the Los Angeles Times.
I graduated in December 2013 with a journalism degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before joining the Times, I was a 2014 visiting fellows at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard. I've previously interned at the Chicago Tribune and Tampa Bay Times among other publications.
One day I'd like to specialize in investigative reporting, thanks to a rewarding story I worked on about a fraudulent rescue squad that led to action by the state, resignations and an arrest (more on that here), my former professor Brant Houston and, of course, All The President's Men.
