Hi there! My name is Taylor Goldenstein. I'm currently a state politics reporter in the Austin bureau of the Houston Chronicle where I cover Attorney General Ken Paxton, abortion, election law, courts, LGBTQ+ issues and more.
I first came to Texas in 2016 for a job as the Travis County reporter at the Austin American-Statesman. Before that, I was a general assignment reporter at the Los Angeles Times.
I was a 2014 visiting fellow at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard. I've previously interned at the Chicago Tribune and Tampa Bay Times among other publications. I graduated in December 2013 with a journalism degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with high honors.
I'd love to hear from you! You can reach me at taylor.goldenstein@houstonchronicle.com.
